If money grew on trees

I've been extremely busy working full time so I haven't been able to update but I'm trying to make a little bit more effort now. Here are some things that have been inspiring me and things I'm hoping to have for the fall.

Alexander Wang'd out!

proenza
Proenza Schouler just gets me excited for Spring10. But I won't get a head of myself. I'll be obsessing over Alexander Wang until fall comes and then I'll be drooling over all these!

beauty is no pain

I love running away to nyc any chance I get. With my busy schedule, and making too many splurges a month, it's hard to rack up enough left over money I have and leave cali. So thank god for amex points, when I looked up how many points I had, I realized I had just enough to take me and my boyfriend. I was stressing over what to wear and definitely overpacked. I took four pairs of heels and didn't wear one once and just ended up wearing the same pair of boots everyday. My outfits had so much more potential, if I could just walk the streets of ny in a pair of heels. How do these people do it? 'Beauty is pain' just wasn't my motto during the trip.

I enjoy walking on beautiful streets, then somehow ending up in an alley filled with graffiti.

This building caught my attention. It was surrounded by chaos but it stood so strong.

You have to try this place! It's called chikalicious in St. Mark's place. Definitely not somewhere you can go on an everyday basis but worth the splurge on days you're craving something delicious!

I guess after a few days, I started to miss LA. well not really. I could stay in NY forever.

I'll see you soon ny.

It's about time

I've been a fan of blogs for a few years now but could never find the time to actually make my own. With work draining every ounce of me, I figured following blogs such as thesatorialist and lookbook would be enough for me, but I would be inspired every time to write my own posts. It's probably taken me six months to create the layout, buy the domain, and write this post. Better than never though right? I'm excited to be a part of the blogger world and I am determined to keep this updated!

I remember reading about Elizabeth and James' shoes last year and one day I was online shopping and came across them! They were taking orders for pre-fall, but I went on another site and they were already delivering. So I got my hands on the Hayley's and am loving them. They're super light and comfortable but I wish they were a little higher. The shoes retail between $270-$325 (for now). A bit pricey for being Steve Madden collabs, but I couldn't wait until they went on sale.

Raych from That's Chic and I spent a day looking for Goodwills and taking pictures in random spots. Initially, I wasn't going to post anything just yet, but taking pictures of her gave me more determination to start this thing. Check out her blog for more pictures!

I'm off to Dallas at 5am tomorrow for work but I'll be back soon enough!
